Made with chickpeas, beetroots, cumin and lemon zest, this creamy, smooth and flavourful dip cum spread is perfect for winter meals. Here is an easy recipe to make beetroot hummus at home.

430 g chickpeas, drained and rinsed 2 cooked beetroots, cut into quarters 2 cloves garlic zest and juice of 1 lemon 2-3 tbsp tahini 2-3 tbsp olive oil ¼ tsp salt ½ tsp ground cumin

Add the beetroots, chickpeas and garlic into a food processor and process for 60 seconds.

Add the remaining ingredients and process again until creamy.

6.

Adjust the seasonings.

Serve and store the leftovers for 4 to 5 days.
