Dal paratha is a delicious breakfast dish that can be enjoyed with raita or any of your favourite chutneys. Here is an easy recipe to make this classic dish with leftover dal.

1 ¼ cup wheat flour, ½ cup leftover dal, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp amchoor powder, ½ tsp kitchen king masala powder, ¼ tsp garam masala powder, ⅛ tsp turmeric, 1 tbspon ghee, salt, water as needed, 1 onion finely chopped, 1 green chilli finely chopped, ¼ cup coriander leaves finely chopped

Take atta, dal, spice powders, salt, turmeric and ghee in a mixing bowl. Mix well and add onion, chilli and coriander. Add a little water and make a soft dough.

Rest 10 mins and divide into 7-8 equal sized balls. Reset 10 more mins. To make paratha, take a ball and roll with a rolling pin and spread to thick parathas.

Heat a tawa and cook both sides with generous drizzle of oil or ghee until golden spots appear. Repeat the same with the remaining dough balls and enjoy.
